Peach Slices Redness Relief Color Correcting Moisturizer on a table with a rose in the background.

I’ve been battling red, highly reactive facial skin for as long as I can remember — not from rosacea but as a result of a rare genetic skin condition I was born with called Netherton syndrome. It essentially causes my skin cells to turn over at a hyperaccelerated rate so I need to exfoliate far more often than the average person with “normal” skin, which as you might imagine, can be quite irritating and lead to increased sensitivity. The alternative is dealing with a buildup of dry, flaky dead skin, though, so, your girl’s gotta do what she’s gotta do. Thankfully, I’ve managed to find several products that help tame my chronically inflamed complexion, like Dermalogica Stabilizing Repair Cream, Eau Thermale Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray and CurrentBody LED Light Therapy Face Mask, to name a few.

With that being said, one of the biggest game-changers in my beauty routine (one that doesn’t get nearly enough hype, IMHO) has been Peach Slices Redness Relief Color-Correcting Moisturizer. You can find it for $20 on Amazon or at your local CVS or Ulta, and it lasts for ages. More importantly, the green-tinted cream is incredibly effective at not only camouflaging redness but calming it too. Curious how it works? Keep on reading for my full review.

This moisturizer effortlessly neutralizes redness with a hint of green while soothing and moisturizing inflamed skin at the same time. You need the tiniest amount to even out your entire complexion — and it rings in at under $20.

How I found Peach Slices Redness Relief Color-Correcting Moisturizer

Being a beauty writer for the last decade, I’ve been lucky enough to try a wellspring of products for free — but that’s not to say they all work out for me and become a mainstay in my daily routine. This one just so happened to be the exception. Around a year ago now, I was kindly sent Peach Slices Redness Relief Trio, which includes a cleanser, serum and gel-cream, along with its color-correcting moisturizer. I enjoyed the full range but didn’t expect to fall in love with the latter product. Now, just like my morning cup of coffee, I can’t imagine my routine without it.

Since adding it to my repertoire, I’ve rarely reached for foundation or concealer, which is huge for me, considering I used to be a full-coverage foundation girl through and through. Now I simply apply a dime-sized amount to my whole face with a damp beauty sponge and let the color-correcting technology work its magic. It leaves my skin looking even, smooth and slightly dewy, and never the least bit cakey or overdone (which fuller-coverage bases tend to do).

Why Peach Slices Redness Relief Color-Correcting Moisturizer is a score

For just under $20, you get a multipurpose moisturizer that not only soothes and hydrates ski, but that also acts like a tinted moisturizer or weightless foundation because it conceals redness and blemishes so freakin’ well — all while looking ultra natural.

I love that it’s light as air, looks like you’re wearing nothing (seriously, though) and contains clinically backed ingredients that help soothe and support skin barrier health. On the ingredient list you’ll find skin-calming powerhouses like centella asiatica extract, cica and panthenol (aka vitamin B5), as well as aloe leaf extract, allantoin and vitamin E. It also claims to actually improve redness, which I know is no joke because whenever I remove it at the end of the day, my skin looks noticeably less inflamed, which was never the case with heavy foundations and concealers that didn’t let my skin breathe.

The formula is also ideal for all skin types and different concerns — from acne and hyperpigmentation, to dryness and uneven texture. Suffice it to say, it’s an amazing option if you, like me, struggle with redness and want a foundation alternative or simply something with more skin-loving properties in the formula. Plus, did I mention it’s less than $20 and lasts forever? I’ve had it in my arsenal for over a year now and the only reason I bought a second tube was because I gave the first one to a friend (if that’s not love, I don’t know what is!), who now adores it as much as I do. Aaand I rest my case.
