They say you are what you eat, and now gamers can make their own Xbox-branded toast. Yes, a priced-to-move $40 Xbox Series S toaster is here, and it looks like the perfect companion for the Xbox Series X mini fridge. Unlike the digital-only Xbox Series S, this toaster is designed for input and output (of bread, not discs). In fact, it’s a two-slice toaster with an “extra-wide slot” that toasts bread side by side, according to its Walmart product page.

Designed to resemble Microsoft's digital-only console, the Xbox Series S toaster may not support Game Pass, but it will singe the iconic Xbox logo into your toast.

The Xbox Series S toaster offers three main functions: defrosting (for your frozen treats, such as waffles), bagel toasting (so only the insides get toasted) and your everyday toasting — where it burns the Xbox logo imprint onto bread. Hopefully the rest of the bread gets heated up correctly as well and you’re not getting an unbalanced toast.

The Xbox Series S toaster features six levels of browning, which feels like a rather low amount of variance compared to the toasters I’ve used for decades. There’s also an LED digital countdown timer, which is integrated into the toaster’s shade selector (though Xbox’s images don’t show how that actually looks in practice).

Of course, this toaster also comes with all your standard features, such as a jam-preventing design, a removable crumb tray and automatic shutoff. The funniest “spec” listed is the toaster’s “auto-centering guide,” which presumably means you won’t have uneven logos. If you’re already checking to see if you have the space, it measures 15 inches wide, 7.6 inches tall and 4.6 inches deep.

Hopefully we’ll be seeing this toaster make perfectly browned pieces of toast, with no red rings of death. If you’re in the market for a new Xbox, though, consider the excellent Xbox Series S Carbon Black, which has double the normal internal storage.
