Smart rings just became even more discreet thanks to the debut of the sleek new Oura Ring 4. It’s great for anti-smartwatch users who want to forego the bulk without skimping on smart tracking features. We loved the fitness and sleep data collection of the company’s previous model, and now there’s only more to love with the latest launch. Given its popularity, the ring is available for pre-order now and set to ship Oct. 15.

There’s no major price jump, either, with the Oura Ring 4 starting at $349 for its basic Silver and Black colors. Its other colors — Brushed Silver, Stealth, Gold and Rose Gold — come with a bit of a bump, starting at $399 and scaling to $499.

The Oura Ring 4 builds in major upgrades spec for spec from the Oura Ring Generation 3. In its slimmest design to date, it comes in a streamlined titanium build and trims its interior recessed sensors from 1.3 mm down to 0.3 mm. Plus, explore a broader size range of 4 to 15 — four more sizes than its last.

When our editors first tested the previous-generation model, we found that its seven days of use lasted slightly longer when comparing the Oura Ring 3 vs Whoop. This new smart ring improves its already impressive battery life, now offering up to eight days of use on a single charge.

Its new, even slimmer design eliminates one of our biggest pain points with the Oura Ring 3: its unorthodox bulky design. Before, the ring felt weighty enough to notice every time our tester tried it on; we noted that it made it harder to dig into jean pockets, occasionally tugging on fingers. That’s a less likely case for the 0.3 mm rebuild.

The upgrades this time around aren’t just physical adjustments with the design, either. The new Oura ring builds upon its accuracy in tracking heart rate, sleep scoring and other health metrics by employing Smart Sensing, which the brand says dynamically selects the optimal signal path rather than firing through a fixed optical path.

To get the most out of your smart ring, you’ll need to buy into the Oura Membership, which gathers insights into the collected data. Our experts appreciated its intuitive layout, making it easy for even novice users to look at sleep tracking data, meditations, stress levels, heart rate information and activity tracking. That starts at?$5.99/month or?$69.99/year, plus one month free with the purchase of the Oura Ring 4.

Thanks to this new launch, the Oura Ring 3 is selling for under $300.
