The all-new SoundLink Home from Bose ups the ante on portable speakers. Housed in a sleek, brushed anodized aluminum frame and overlayed with minimalistic gray fabrics, Bose decks out its popular SoundLink tech in its most stylish hardware yet.
Much like the other SoundLinks we tested and loved in our best portable speaker testing, this wireless speaker adopts the same “balanced” sound frequency while boasting up to nine hours of listening time. It all comes packaged in a silhouette that looks like another piece of home decor.
While designed with the home in mind (you can nearly walk past it without noticing it's a speaker), the Bose SoundLink Home is completely wireless and USB-C compatible, so you can take it with you anywhere.
Most impressively, you can set up two SoundLink Home speakers so one acts as the right channel and the other as the left. It packs a mighty punch too.?At just 50% volume, one speaker filled an entire living room with crisp audio, still allowing for light conversation.
Good news for multitaskers, the SoundLink Home also has a microphone so you can pick up and answer phone calls through the device.
As of Oct. 1, the SoundLink Home debuts exclusively at Bose in light gray with silver hardware or dark gray with matte black hardware. The brand also just reintroduced its Ultra Open Earbuds (my go-to for running and a tester favorite) in new colors.
