Hi from CNN, this is Madeleine Thompson with five things you need to know for Monday, October 14th. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel will continue to strike Hezbollah targets everywhere in Lebanon, including the capital city, Beirut. His announcement came just hours after a source told CNN Israeli airstrikes on Beirut had paused amid growing, quote, understandings between U.S. and Israeli officials. This weekend, Hezbollah attacked an army base deep inside Israeli territory, killing four of their soldiers and wounding more than 60 others. Israel continues to struggle to defuze the threat from the Iran backed military group.

So the latest CNN Poll of Polls, average of national polling, finds no clear leader in the presidential race. Both candidates are in the pivotal battleground state of Pennsylvania. Harris will speak tonight in Erie and Trump's town hall about the economy begins soon in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Biden won the state by just over 80,000 votes in 2020. But CNN political director David Chalian explains that Trump's approach there is targeted.

They have found real success in mining deeper into areas where they have found aligned voters and finding more gold there. Right. He's trying to find more Trump voters, even in places that he may not win. I'll give you an example. In Montgomery County, between his victory in Pennsylvania in 16 and his loss in Pennsylvania in 20, he still found 20,000 more voters to come out for him between those two elections in Montgomery County. And that was part of why he won Pennsylvania. And that is what Harris needs to do. She's going to win. But he was still able to find more voters, even in a Biden rich territory.

A North Carolina man was arrested today for allegedly threatening harm against FEMA employees responding to Hurricane Helene. 44 year old William Jacob Parsons is charged with going armed to the terror of the public, according to the Rutherford County Sheriff's office. It was not immediately clear if Parsons had an attorney. Over the weekend, aid to several communities impacted by Helion was temporarily paused in parts of North Carolina due to reports of threats. And a FEMA spokesperson told CNN today that some secure disaster recovery centers are receiving threats. Teams there are helping disaster survivors apply for assistance, which is being slowed by misinformation. CNN's Brian Stelter has more.

'Donald Trump and Elon Musk are at the top of the funnel of the outrageous lies Trump has been saying for weeks that the Biden-Harris administration is failing the people of North Carolina. His not so subtle claim is that Democrats are letting Republicans die on social media sites like X. A little bit further down the funnel. There are crazy conspiracy theories about FEMA workers trying to hurt citizens, maybe even trying to kill people.

What do you say to someone who's grieving? While it's natural to want to offer comfort and support? There are some do's and don'ts that you may want to keep in mind. For example, asking someone, How are you? Believe it or not, can be considered a loaded question. Clinical psychologist Dr. Jeff Gardere has some suggestions.

I think we can be more specific when we reach out to someone and asking them, well, how are you doing with regard to making arrangements or how was your particular meal the other day? Or how has it been for you to get through this particular day? Instead of asking such a broad question, when someone is going through that kind of pain and may be confused and may be in shock?
