The Khomeini Shrine is the burial site of the Imam Ruhollah Khomeini, leader of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution. Worshipers flocked here to pay their respects and to see the beautiful architecture. On June 7, 2017 it became the site of a terror attack carried out by ISIS.
