A former linebacker for the Washington Huskies, Psalm Wooching has now graduated from college and has his sights set on a different sport...

He's swapped sacking for try-scoring in a bid to become a professional rugby player.

Born in Hawaii, Wooching has a Samoan father -- who has passed on his cultural heritage as well as his love for rugby.

Wooching was taught fire knife dancing at a young age. "Respect is preached broadly and that's just the way I've been raised," he says.

Wooching has played alongside Waisale Serevi in the Fijian rugby legend's select sevens team at invitational events.

Samoan winger Alesana Tuilagi is also one of Wooching's rugby heroes.

As a football player, Wooching was renowned for sacking quarterbacks and savaging offenses. Last year, he captained the Huskies to the national championship playoffs.

The Huskies were 12-2 in his final college season, losing to Alabama in the semifinals of the playoffs.
