Barcelona was forced to come from behind to defeat Borussia Monchengladbach 2-1 in Germany in its latest Champions League tie. The visiting side was without the injured Lionel Messi but was still too hot to handle.

Hazard warning —
Thorgan Hazard gave the German side the lead in the first half with a fine finish to stun Luis Enrique's men.

Barca bounces back —
Barcelona hit back after the break with Neymar causing the Monchengladbach defense plenty of problems. Arda Turan struck an equalizer before Gerard Pique scored the winner.

Bayern beaten —
Atletico Madrid edged out Bayern Munich 1-0 in the Spanish capital courtesy of Yannick Carrasco's strike. Antoine Griezmann missed a penalty late on but the home side held out.

City held —
Nolito scored Manchester City's third equalizer of the night as it came back on three separate occasions to draw 3-3 at Celtic.

Arsenal on song —
Theo Walcott scored twice as Arsenal eased past FC Basel 2-0 in London.
